Italian Language Teaching Opportunities

Italian language teachers play an important role in helping students explore new cultures, global perspectives, and lifelong language skills. The N.O.I. Foundation (Nuovi Orizzonti Italiani) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the teaching of Italian language and culture through partnerships with public and private schools.

While the Foundation is based in Michigan, current programs and partnerships include Michigan and Ohio, with openness to expanding into additional regions as interest and opportunities grow.

Our mission is to broaden access to Italian language education by supporting educators and schools with instructional materials, cultural resources, and program assistance connected to the Consulate of Italy in Detroit.

Who We’re Looking For

We welcome interest from Italian language educators who are passionate about teaching and cultural learning. Opportunities may be available at the elementary, middle, or high school level, depending on school participation and program needs in Michigan, Ohio, or other regions.

Ideal candidates may have:

• Experience teaching Italian language or culture

• Strong communication and classroom management skills

• A background in education or language instruction

• A desire to support early and ongoing language learning

Both certified teachers and experienced language instructors are encouraged to apply.

Teaching Opportunities

Teaching opportunities vary by school, location, and academic year. Educators may work with public or private schools supported by the N.O.I. Foundation and may also participate in cultural initiatives, enrichment programs, or collaborative projects with other educators.

The N.O.I. Foundation supports Italian language teachers by providing access to educational materials, classroom resources, and collaborative opportunities. Our goal is to help educators deliver meaningful instruction while fostering an appreciation for Italian language, history, and culture.
