Students of L’Anse Creuse North visiting DIA

On May 3, over 110 L’Anse Creuse North and Central High School Italian Students visited the Detroit Institute of Arts with Italian language instructor Mr. Jordan David and instructor Mr. Jim Ekdahl. Students not only had the opportunity to view the fabulous “Grand Tour of Italy” gallery but also the special exhibition “By Her Hand: Artemisia Gentileschi and Women Artists in Italy”. The students, parents and Macomb County Clerk – Tony Forlini- had the opportunity to visit the DIA and afterwards enjoy an authentic Italian meal at “MangiaBevi” in Sterling Heights. Pictured also is L’Anse Creuse “PizzaFest” – students experienced freshly cooked pizza from an authentic wood-fire pizza oven.
