PMI Day 2026 – Lega Serie A USA at L’Anse Creuse High School
On January 27, 2026, the NOI Foundation proudly participated in PMI Day, the 16th National Day of Small and Medium-Sized Italian Companies in the USA, organized by the Consulate of Italy in Detroit.
Hosted at L’Anse Creuse High School in Harrison Township, the event brought together students, educators, and Italian business leadership for a morning focused on entrepreneurship, global engagement, and the future of Italian industry.
This year’s theme, “Scegliere,” encouraged students to reflect on how education and industry work together to shape future opportunities and professional growth.
Alessandro Gherardi, Head of Marketing and Commercial, North America at Lega Serie A USA, shared insights into the league’s expanding presence in the United States and its international brand strategy. He discussed how innovation, community engagement, and cultural identity contribute to the global growth of Italian football.
Students actively engaged in discussion, gaining perspective on careers in global sports marketing, international business, and cross-cultural collaboration.
PMI Day 2026 highlighted the value of connecting classroom learning with real-world experience. By bringing Italian institutions and industry leaders directly into the school environment, students were able to see how global organizations operate and how cultural identity and innovation shape today’s professional landscape.
The morning also reinforced the importance of dialogue between education and business. Through open conversation and direct engagement, students gained practical insight into how international partnerships are built and sustained.
Events like this strengthen the connection between Italy and the United States while inspiring students to pursue opportunities beyond borders.
